TOM ANDREWS MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP The purpose of the Tom Andrews Memorial Scholarship is to grant a cash award to outstanding Wayland Union High School Senior student athletes. A scholarship of $500.00 will be awarded to 1 male and 1 female senior. The scholarship will be presented at the annual Senior Awards Night. The following criteria will apply: 1. The number of awards will be determined by the Boosters Committee prior to the March meeting each year 2. The student must apply through the Guidance Office to be eligible, and must: a. Be a Senior b. Have participated for a minimum of 2 seasons in sports or a sport c. Be planning to continue their education 3. The selection will be made by a committee composed of the following: a. Wayland Athletic Booster President b. Wayland High School Principal c. Wayland High School Athletic Director d. Wayland Athletic Booster Member 4. Selections will be based on the following: a. Application essay reflecting personal growth and development through participation and WUHS athletics b. Athletic participation at WUHS Deadline is the first Monday in May
