Dear Praying Friends, We had a very good time with our new candidates at the Missionary Training Days. We are happy to welcome to our WBF Mission Family: Joshua, Rachel & Blace Easlon, who will be going to the country of Nigeria; and Jacob, Hali & Tekoa Woodfin, who will be planting a new church in San Francisco, CA. The Easlons are sent out by the Victory Baptist Church in Paris, TX and the Woodfins by the Lake Point Baptist Church in Port Clinton, OH. Pray for both of these families as they begin their deputation ministry. We are looking forward to the WBF Fall Meeting which will take place October 16-18, 2017 at the Southpoint Baptist Church in Jacksonville, FL. Pastor Terry Collins, the church staff and the entire church family will do a wonderful job in hosting this meeting. In the past when we have had our Fall Meeting at Southpoint Baptist Church they have always done an excellent job and I know this year will be no different. Please make your plans now to attend this great meeting. At the Fall Meeting each year the Special Mission Offering is received and the Missionary Gift Card Shower is held. Each of these special events are a blessing to the Missionary families and to the Mission Office. The Special Mission Offering helps the Mission Office with many expenses that are not covered by the regular monthly support for the General Fund. The annual budget for the Mission Office could not be met without this special offering. The Missionary Gift Card Shower is a great blessing each year to the missionary families that are present at the meeting. The gift cards provide many items that the missionaries need for the field. Please pray for these special needs and participate in the Special Mission Offering and the Gift Card Shower. Linda and I are so appreciative of your ongoing prayers for us and for the faithful financial support of each of our supporting churches. Since 1970 we have seen the Lord provide for our needs through the faithfulness of His children and we are very grateful.
