Lead by example in demonstrating good sportsmanship towards players, coaches, officials and other participants/spectators in the event.
Coaches, Players and Parents will abide by the Code of Conduct. If they do not adhere to these codes, they can be suspended or banned from coaching and/or attending any games.
We will endeavor to be good role models and do our best to provide a positive and fun experience for our players. Place the emotional and physical wellbeing of the child ahead of your own personal emotional and physical desire to win. Treat the player as an individual and recognize the large range of emotional and physical development for the child’s age group. Provide the child with a safe playing environment. Provide an environment that is free of drugs, tobacco and alcohol. Use of these substances at any CDGS function is strictly prohibited. Become knowledgeable in the rules of the game and assist the child in learning these rules. The Board will Treat the official’s decisions with respect and encourage the child to do the same. “The oversee any umpire’s decision is final” grievances. Never criticize an opponent, coach or umpire. Ridicule, abusive or profane language will NOT be tolerated. Parental/Guardian Permission:
We, the responsible parent(s) or guardian(s) of the above named player(s), who is/are registering to play softball with the Central District Girls Softball League (aka CDGS), hereby give our approval for her participation in any and all of the activities provided by CDGS during the 2016 season. In case of injury to our child, we hereby waive ALL claims against the organizers, sponsors, managers, or officers of CDGS. Authorization is granted to Central District Girls Softball League and/or an appointed representative of the league to obtain emergency medical treatment in our absence.
