Tournament Rules GIC 2016 Girls Invitational Cup 2016 will be played by the Swedish Football Association rules for 9v9 football applied with the following additions, exceptions and clarifications.

1. FORMAT & PLAYOFFS Group play The teams are divided into groups of four where all play against each other once. Win gives 3 points, tie 1 point and loss 0 points. Ties within a group: Winner determined in following order: 1. Goal differential 2. Most goals for 3. Head to head record 4. Least yellow and red cards 5. Lottery Playoffs The top two teams in each group make the A finals, the other teams the B finals. Ties in playoffs are determined by penalty kicks. The shootout will commence immediately after the regular game time is over. Each team will select 5 players to take turns. If it is a still a tie after the initial 5 penalty shoots, one player (other than the first five) from each team will be chosen until the match is settled. When the team has used all players including the goal keeper they may start over with any player. Penalties may only be taken by players who are on the field when the regular game time runs out.

2. AGE CLASS Class F12. Girls born January 1st 2004 and later.

3. ROSTER LIMITATIONS A team may use 15 players during a match. Substitutions are unlimited and are made without the referee's whistle. All changes will take place within the team's technical area. Incorrect substitution may lead to a yellow card . There is no maximum on the number of players on the roster.

4. GAME TIME Match time is 2 x 20 minutes in all matches. The time will be stopped only on the referee 's call.

5. PLAYER ROSTERS All teams must submit a roster with names and date of birth of the players who will participate in the tournament. In addition, if there are more than 15 players on the roster, there should be a game roster with names and date of birth provided to the tournament headquarter 30 minutes before each game, containing a maximum of 15 players.

6. EXEMPTIONS Any requests for exemptions are handled at the tournament headquarter. No players over age are accepted.

7. START OF PLAY Games All teams must be ready at the field no later than 10 minutes before match start. All players must be insured, and wear shin guards. Each team is responsible for their supporters' conduct. Uniforms All team jerseys must be uniform and numbered and the numbers must correspond to those indicated on the roster. The numbering must appear on the back of the jersey. Two players may not have the same numbers during the same match. If the referee decides that one team should change games jerseys due to similarity the guest (away) team will have to change.

8. 9v9 RULES The fields have dimensions of 98 x 60 (Boovallen 1) and 90 x 55 (Boovallen 2) meters. The goals are 7v7 goal size and the penalty box size is 9v9 size (36 m and 14 m). Penalty mark is 7.5 meters from the goal line. Girls Invitational Cup is played with ball size 4. The offside rule is applied. If a player passes the ball to the goal keeper, she may not use her hands to pick it up. The rule for red card when a scoring chance does not apply. A goal kick could be made from anywhere within the penalty box; the goal keeper could also start the play throwing the ball. A punt could only be taken when the goal keeper has caught the ball.

9. OFFICIALS The referees are licensed by the Stockholm Football Association.

10. TOURNAMENT HEADQUARTER The tournament headquarter consists of Pia Jonsson, Henrik Fischer, Krister Sundqvist and Elin Rennerfelt. Henrik Fischer is the tournament director. Protests and penalties are handled by this group. Its decisions cannot be appealed or amended.

11. PROTESTS AND PENALTIES Protests must be submitted in writing to the tournament headquarter by the protesting team’s head coach within 15 minutes of the end of the game in question. The protest fee (SEK 1000 or 100 Euro) should be paid at the same time as the protest is lodged. The protest fee will be returned if the protest is upheld. Referee’s decision in facts related to the game is under rule 5 of the FIFA final. Protesting against such a decision will not lead to action. Red Card

Any player, team leader or coach who is sent off (red card) is not permitted to participate in the next scheduled match. The tournament headquarter may decide on suspension in following match/matches. Warnings do not accumulate.

12. FORFEITS Teams that fail to show up without a valid reason will lose the match by 3-0. For repeated offenses the team could be excluded from the tournament. The tournament headquarter, however, if there are special circumstances, could make the decision to exclude the team on the first offense, if a forfeit benefits the own team or is a disadvantage to another team in the group.

13. GAME FIELDS All matches are played on artificial turf at Boovallen in Nacka.

14. GAME SCHEDULE The Race Committee reserves the right to make changes in the program, both in terms of grouping and game times. Notification of amendments shall be notified to each team manager.

15. TOURNAMENT ORGANIZER Girls Invitation Cup is organized by Boo FF F04:1.

16. ORDER REGULATIONS AT THE SCHOOL FACILITIES General The stated responsible person on the roster is responsible for their respective players in the event of vandalism. It is forbidden to consume alcohol at the schools. Silence is required on all schools from 22:00 to 06:00. Each team must clean their dormitory before departure. Fire safety Smoking is prohibited inside the school and on school property. It is forbidden to cook food and/or eat in the halls and corridors. It is forbidden to hang combustible material in the corridors and halls as well as to place benches, chairs etc in the corridors. Remember that the doors between the corridors and stairways should be closed at all time. VIOLATION OF THESE RULES ARE TREATED BY THE TORUNAMENT HEADQUARTERS AND MAY RESULT IN EXCLUSION FROM THE TOURNAMENT AND EVICTION FROM THE ACCOMMODATION.

17. INSURANCE Each team manager is responsible for ensuring that all participants are insured both on and off the field. Girls Invitation Cup has no general insurances that cover accidents, illness, theft or vandalism. Girls Invitation Cup are not responsible for any economic loss or damage that may be caused because of war, hostilities, civil war, revolution or rebellion or due to government action, strikes, lockouts, blockades or similar events. WE ENCOURAGE ALL PARTICIPANTS AND LEADERS NEVER TO LEAVE VALUABLE OBJECTS OR MONEY AT SCHOOL!

18. SMOKING Because children do not do what adults say but what they do, we want Girls Invitation Cup to be completely smoke-free, i.e. no smoking on or near the fields, cafeteria, dormitory etc. // The tournament Organizers
