Energy Behavioral Policy
In an effort to reduce energy consumption and green house gas emissions, the Township of Union has developed the following guidelines for Township Employees: Please review and follow the guidelines listed below: •
Turn off any lights not being used and at night including task and office lights.
•
Turn off computer monitors and printers or use a low-power standby when not in use.
•
Close blinds when not using a facility to cut down on heat or cooling loss. In the cold weather, open blinds for light and warmth. In warm weather, close blinds to aid cooling.
•
Make sure the office copier is turned off at night.
•
Turn off all tools, office machines and portable appliances when not in use.
