Travel, Health and Safety Checklist TRAVEL Right Now: □ Put travel dates in my calendar. 72 hours before departure: □ Check airline website to confirm flights and print my itinerary. □ Review TSA restrictions on carry-on items. 24 hours before departure: □ Print my boarding pass if traveling only within the US. (International travelers obtain pass at airport.) □ Check airline requirements and weigh and measure my bag to avoid surcharges. Day of departure: □ Arrive 2 hours early for domestic flights or 3½ hours early for international flights. □ Bring with me to the airport: o My ticket (Actual ticket, not just the itinerary I received) o Government-issued identification (passport, for international travelers) o DukeEngage Emergency Card □ Remain in the airport while waiting for connecting flights. Stay near departure gate.

Obtain written copies of all prescriptions just in case. □ Read up on out-of-network insurance coverage. □ Pick out a few simple, cheap, and healthy recipes. □ Ask about/look into my options for exercise. 72 hours before departure: □ Pack hard-to-replace items (e.g., prescription meds) in carry-on luggage. □ Enter program leaders’ contact info, and the DukeEngage hotline, into my phone □ Make a plan to stay in touch with friends and family.
