NEXT LEVEL BEAUTY Gone are the days when a simple brush and washcloth wilL sufFice. Welcome a wave of inNovative products, promising to change

Using 16,000 vibrations per minute, this foundation applicator spreads both liquid foundations and BB creams evenly to improve the coverage, blending and staying power of the product. All your problems with patchy or streaky foundation are solved as it helps cover up visible pores with a nice and even finish. But do be careful with maneuvering this around the delicate eye area to prevent tugging the skin there. One of the latest must-haves, it’s made with fibre from a potato-like plant and lets you gently cleanse, massage and exfoliate your skin. You don’t have to use cleansers with it, although you can use just a touch if you do – the sponge froths up the product easily and spreads it out. This has bamboo charcoal, which is especially good for removing excess oil and fighting acne-causing bacteria. It had a rubbery texture that exfoliates and unclogs pores without excessive tugging. Our complexions did feel a lot cleaner and pores did seem smaller. However, you still need to remove your makeup beforehand.

Using ceramic plates and sonic vibrations, heat is evenly and gently distributed through hair for healthy and shiny results with less time and effort. Straightening hair was a breeze. Not only is it lightweight and easy to manage, the vibrations gave us smoother hair without snagging on tresses or singeing locks.

This eye makeup corrector has two tips on either end. Use the white waxy tip to ‘erase’ smudges and blending boo boos, then remove any remaining residue with the black sponge tip. For those who always make mistakes when putting on eyeliner, this is a godsend. The familiar pencil structure makes it easy to manage and the waxy tip removes even the most stubborn water- and smudge-proof products.

Rotating 500 times per minute, this lipsmoothing system gently massages your pout to rejuvenate and revitalise your kissers. Use it with the brand’s sugar lip scrub ($28), to leave your lips feeling baby-smooth! Putting the gadget on our kissers felt funny at first, but its gentle movements coupled with the grainy lip scrub worked fast and we got used to the buzzing quickly. We tried putting on our fave lipstick after and noticed that it went on smoother and our pout looked a little plumper too!

Combine sound vibrations with tapered soft and slim bristles and you’ll get a super-cleansing toothbrush! The thin bristles help get to pesky hard-to-reach gunk, while the 9,000 sonic wave vibrations per minute help remove plague and stuck particles for a beautiful smile. When we were done, our teeth felt squeaky-clean! The Sonic Toothbrush was a dream to use, letting us get around to areas that would usually hurt with our regular big brushes. AUG 2014
