Creating a Twitter Account STEP 1:
Discussion
Describe what Twitter is.
Discuss why they might use Twitter (sharing, staying in touch with family, etc.)
Download and install Twitter on the participant’s device.
Discuss commonly used terms (handle, hashtag and tweet)
STEP 2:
Show
Show the participant how to locate the Twitter app on their device and open the app.
Discuss signing up for an account.
Discuss creating a profile.
STEP 3:
Do
Assist participant with locating the Twitter app on their device
Assist the participant with creating an account
Assist the participant with creating a profile 1
STEP 4:
Review
Have the participant review their profile and try to navigate Twitter on their own.
Learning How to Tweet STEP 1:
Show
Show participant how to search and follow people of interest
Show participant how read their feed
Show the participant how to tweet
STEP 2:
Do
Assist the participant with searching and following people of interest (We’re @MentorUp)
Assist the participant on reviewing their feed
Assist the participant with tweeting

Review
Have the participant find additional people to follow
Have the participant find recent tweets in their feed
Have the participant tweet their own status
Advanced Topics
Report Back
Discuss the following with the participants. If they are interested share you knowledge and follow “Show, Do, Review” model
