In preparation for the upcoming softball season, Smyrna Clayton Little Lass is aggressively seeking to build a volunteer umpire pool. The Board of Directors has taken steps to include umpiring as an option in order to receive your volunteer fee refund. This is/should not be the only reason to volunteer as an umpire. Volunteer umpires save the league money which can in turn be used for other necessary operating expenses throughout the year. Volunteer umpires also allow games to be controlled and completed in an official and timely manner according to Little League principles. Umpires ensure young ladies are consistently adhering to and learning the rules and regulations associated with fastpitch softball. All volunteer umpires are required to attend one

UMPIRE CLINICS Harrington Parks and Rec February 20, 27 March 6, 13 7-9pm These clinics are progressive in nature and all should be attended.
Smyrna Clayton Little Lass Field March 11, 12, 18, 9am-12pm Attendance is only required at one of these clinics
Middletown Silver Lake Park March 12, 19 4–6pm Attendance is only required at one of these clinics
