GREATER NEW JERSEY CONFERENCE SCHOLARSHIPS Conference Merit Awards Annual awards to United Methodist students in Greater New Jersey Conference attending any United Methodist college or university. Applicants are nominated by a local church. Each church may nominate one student annually.
Rev. Ralph Kappler Memorial Scholarship Annual award or awards will be given to undergraduate students who are members of churches in the Greater New Jersey Conference. The applicants are nominated by a local church. Each church may nominate one student annually. The recipient can use this scholarship for continuing education after high school in any field that he or she desires. Financial need shall be one consideration in the awarding of this scholarship.
Emily S. Garrison Nursing Scholarship A scholarship is awarded each year to a student preparing for a nursing career and is enrolled or enrolling in a program leading to the B.S. degree in nursing. The applicant must be a member of a United Methodist church in the Greater New Jersey Conference. This scholarship is sponsored by the Greater New Jersey Conference United Methodist Women.
Ethel Snyder Book/Inez R. Irons Scholarship Annual award or awards will be given to a daughter and/or son of a United Methodist clergyperson in the Greater New Jersey Conference. The recipient may use this scholarship for continuing education after high school in any field of his or her choice.
Conference Trust Fund Scholarships Scholarship assistance for undergraduate students exhibiting financial need, academic merit, and active membership in The United Methodist Church, Greater New Jersey Conference.

Applicants must have a goal of full time Christian service following graduation. Yearly application is required, but previous recipients will be given priority up to four years of college. Financial need shall be one consideration in awarding this scholarship. This scholarship is sponsored by the Greater New Jersey Conference United Methodist Women.

NEW JERSEY SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES Doris and Arthur Mandeville Scholarship The Doris and Arthur Mandeville Scholarship Fund was created through a generous gift by Doris and Arthur Mandeville to the Epworth United Methodist Church of Palmyra. The purpose of the gift is to further Christian Education within The United Methodist Church. The scholarship program is jointly administered by the Greater New Jersey Conference Board of Higher Education and the Epworth United Methodist Church. Awards are made to full-time graduate students who are members of a United Methodist Church in the Greater New Jersey Conference and are preparing for careers in ordained ministry or Christian Education in The United Methodist Church. Applicants are asked to demonstrate financial need to qualify for these awards.
Educational Society Scholarships awarded on an annual basis for seminary or graduate students preparing for the ordained ministry (Deacon or Elder) in the Greater New Jersey Conference. Loans are also available for seminary and undergraduate students entering the Christian ministry of the Greater New Jersey Conference. We make available the United Methodist Scholarship to eligible applicants who are confirmed, active members of the church. These scholarships are $10,000 annually, and are renewable providing students maintain satisfactory academic progress. Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 2.5 and must reside on campus.
