February 01, 2015 We are exploring the topic of The Call to Share the Gospel. Did you know that the scriptures present four “calls” to share the Gospel. They are from Jesus, a rich man, the internal prompting, and Macedonia. Making disciples is an idea straight from the heart of God.
COMMUNION SUNDAY
If you have a personal faith relationship with Jesus Christ, we invite you to observe the Lord’s Supper with us today. Please partake as you are ready. Children who trust in Jesus as their Savior, and whose parents feel they are ready and understand the importance of this ordinance, are also welcome to participate. The bread is gluten-free.
NEXT SUNDAY Next Sunday we will explore the topic of The One Way to Heaven. The Gospel message is this: Jesus died for our sins on the cross and He rose on the third day. Jesus is the one way to Heaven, his righteousness, not ours, allows us to enter. A disciple maker is able to share the Gospel message from memory. After nearly nine years of service at Woodcrest, most recently as the Office Manager, Beth Westerback is transitioning from her position. Beth will conclude her service at Woodcrest on February 10. Please join us in thanking Beth for her diligent work at Woodcrest Church.
WORSHIP PASTOR SEARCH The Worship Pastor search team met with a candidate this week. Thank you for your continued prayers for this staff search. The members of the team are Misty Anderson, Andrea Burt, Steve Klaus, Pete Parker, and Jerry Schommer.
ANNUAL MEETING Sunday, February 22, 12 noon lunch, 1 pm meeting All are invited to the annual meeting at 1 pm following a light lunch at noon. At this meeting, the 2015 budget will be presented for approval. Also, members may vote for incoming elders and nominating committee members. Please RSVP for the lunch at the “Gather” center. OFFERING ENVELOPES Please pick up your 2015 offering envelopes in the Café.

PRAYER GATHERING Throughout the year every family will receive a special invite to attend the monthly Prayer Gathering. Everyone is always welcome, however, for FEBRUARY, families with the last name beginning with “M” through “O” are specially invited. There will be a devotional and prayer for specific requests on February 4, 7-8 pm. If you are unable to attend, requests can be emailed to Pastor Jerry at [email protected]. CONVERGE CORNERSTONE FUND The Cornerstone Fund is an organization that helps fund the start of new churches in our denomination. If you would like to pick up a brochure, please go to the “Serve” center. Thanks!
