Important System Update Now Available for DM SeriesTM Model: mailstation 2 Allow approximately 10 - 20 minutes to complete the update.

If you’re not already connected, connect your meter as you would when adding postage: Analog Phone Line Connection
PC Connection with PC Meter Connect Desktop Application
Warning: If you are currently using mailstation assistant or PC Meter Connect Desktop Application below version 05.00.0020, please visit www.pb.com/support/PCMC to update to the most current version. To find out what version you are currently using, navigate to the URL listed above and select “Check desktop application version” for instructions, or click on the image below.
Warning: If using a phone line shared with another machine such as a fax, unplug the phone cord from the fax and connect it to the meter. This will ensure the meter is not interrupted.

At your meter, conduct a Balance Inquiry:

Press the Funds key
Press the Review down arrow key until you see “Check amt available to download?”.

Press Enter/yes. Your meter will connect with the Data Center and display these messages: (Only displayed for phone connection)

When connection is complete, your Postage by Phone account balance will appear.

At the Postage by Phone balance screen press Enter/yes key. When the meter displays “Refill Postage?” press no. Page 1 of 2

Depending on your meter's configuration, one of the messages shown below will be
displayed. Press Enter/yes key. OR

Your meter will display the status of the download which will take approximately 10 - 20
minutes to complete. After the % Complete reaches 100%, the meter will display several messages while it prepares the new software. WAIT until the meter prompts “Download Complete” and then press Enter/yes key. Several Messages Do not unplug your power cord or disconnect your connection to the PB Data Center at any time during this process. This could cause damage to your meter and require replacement.

Depending on your meter configuration, one or more messages will display. Press the
Enter/Yes key for each message. Once complete, the meter will return to the Home screen. Several Messages Note: Depending on your meter configuration, you may see a message indicating another connection is required. If so, follow steps 2 – 6 above to download and install the additional updates.
