Junxure 9.2 Upgrade Instructions Use the following instructions to upgrade Junxure from Version 9 to Version 9.2 by performing the following steps: 1. Launch the Junxure Upgrade Wizard. This step includes a backup of your Junxure Database and a download of the upgrade files. 2. Install Junxure Desktop Upgrade and Outlook Add‐in Update. In this step you will install prerequisites prior to performing the upgrade. 3. Perform the Upgrade in Junxure. You will need to ensure the database connection before using the program. 4. Deploy to Additional Workstations. See Step 2. Perform this step as necessary. Before you begin: Verify that all users are logged out of Junxure. Verify you are logged in as DBowner. Contact your IT professional with questions. Launch the Junxure Upgrade Wizard 1. Log in to Junxure and go to Maintain System > Check for Updates. The Junxure Upgrade Wizard screen will open.

2. Verify your version of Junxure before proceeding. Compare your current version with the latest published version of Junxure. A status message indicates if an update is available. Click Next to continue or Cancel if there is no update.
3. A database backup will be performed prior to the upgrade. Once the backup is complete, click Next to continue.
Note: For larger offices, this may take some time to complete. 4. The Ready for Upgrade window appears. Your web browser will launch a separate webpage on top of this window with links to download the upgrade file. Follow the instructions on this page.

5. Once you have downloaded the upgrade files, click Close Junxure on the Ready for Upgrade window.
Continue to Install Junxure Desktop and Outlook Add‐in Update. Install Junxure Desktop and Outlook Add‐in Update In this step, you should log out of Junxure and login to Windows as the administrator on the Junxure SQL server in your office. This upgrade requires Database Owner/Administrator privileges. 1. Find the Setup.exe file you previously downloaded. Right Click the file and use the option of “Run As administrator” Note: Windows XP users will not have this option: Double click Setup.exe to start the update.
2. If you are prompted with the next screen, click Yes continue.

3. Junxure Desktop requirements appear on the next screen. Click Install to begin installing the Junxure Preinstall Checkup.
4. During the Junxure Preinstall Checkup, any old versions of Microsoft Outlook® Add‐in are upgraded.
5. Click Next to resume the upgrade based on your previous settings.

6. The upgrade will continue. Click Finish when complete.
You have successfully installed the Junxure Desktop on this workstation. Continue to Perform the Upgrade.
Perform the Upgrade Launch Junxure by going to Start > Programs > CRM Software > Junxure or by double clicking the Junxure desktop icon to open the program. 1. The database upgrade will begin immediately. Click OK when complete.

If you are using a Windows Active Directory domain, the Junxure Security Wizard will launch automatically. See Junxure Security Wizard Instructions for more information.
Notes: Workgroup users will not see the Junxure Security Wizard. For these users, the SQL Server update is complete. PortfolioCenter® Import Wizard and Junxure Asset Import Wizard Users: If you are working in a domain environment, you must perform an initial run of the updated interface from the server before using the interface. 2. Next go to the server desktop and copy the setup.exe file (the name of this file may appear as SetupUpdate.exe) to the following directory (usually on the “P” drive, but this may vary depending on individual offices): JunxureData\Junxure\InstallCode This file is necessary for installation on additional workstations. Note: As a cleanup measure, we recommend moving all existing data from the JxInstallStuff folder into the InstallCode folder, then zipping or archiving all outdated files. This will ensure your files are relevant to your version of Junxure. You have completed the upgrade. Continue to Deploy to Additional Workstations.
Deploy to Additional Workstations You may now deploy the Junxure 9.2 upgrade to each of the workstations in the office. Workstations are no longer automatically updated, as new security regulations require that each workstation be updated separately. Please note: Workstations with Junxure 8 installed previously will use the existing connection credentials to automatically configure the database. 7
To Upgrade Additional Workstations: 1. Navigate to P:\Junxure\InstallCode and locate the setup.exe. 2. Follow Steps 1 – 6 of Install the Junxure Desktop. Once you complete this section for each of your workstations, your office will be upgraded to Junxure 9.2.
