Legislative Branch Members in Attendance: Ricardo Centeno, Anthony Alibro, Andre Obradovich, Jeanie Ziven, Sami Araboghli, Gustavo Delgado Student Services Members in Attendance: Darren Gambrell Guest(s): Andrew Becht, Student Body President; Louie Carey, CAB Vice President; Sarah Araboghli, Media Specialist Call to Order: Ricardo calls the Emergency meeting to order on December 8th, 2016 at 5:00 PM. Amendments to the Meeting Agenda: o Andre moves to approve the agenda o Jeanie seconds o The motion passes and the agenda for December 8th, 2016 has now been approved Amendments to the Meeting Minutes: o N/A Senate President Updates: o Ricardo wants to have one more Senate meeting before the end of the semester o The meeting will be on 12/14 before the Christmas party Old Business: o N/A New Business: o SB [A] 42-008 The Bowl Game o Sponsored by Andrew Becht. This will be an appropriation to fund a trip for 25 individuals to go to the USF Bowl game in Alabama. $5,500 is the asking amount. o Q&A Andre moves to amend SB [A] 42-008 to reflect the following change: “any monies not used for the Bowl game will be swept back into Senate Appropriations” under restrictions Anthony seconds The motion passes and the bill is amended to reflect a sweep exemption o Anthony asks what kind of hotels Andrew is looking at Andrew says they haven’t chosen one yet, but they’re lookin at Marriot Resident’s Inn Darren explains the placement of the rooms currently being looked at o Louie asks if the Resident’s Inn has food Andrew says yes o Andre moves to approve SB [A] 42-008 as amended Sami seconds Discussion None The motion passes and SB [A] 42-008 has been approved as amended
