• Green embroidery thread Fabric Preparation: 1. Draw ribbon lines in a gentle “S” shape on fabric with a water soluble marking pen. Refer to the finished photo. 2. Draw a line inside and centered on the ribbons. 3. Place tearaway stabilizer on wrong side of fabric square.
7. Sew around the outside ribbon using this technique, making the stitch narrower at the intersections and wider around the curves.
8. Turn back to page 1; select Free motion M. 5. Attach Knee Lifter. 6. Start sewing on the outside drawn lines. Once the needle is moving press the knee lifter to the right. The width of the stitch will continuously change as you move the knee lifter to the right and left. Tips: • The maximum width of the zigzag is 9mm. If you prefer to use a narrower width as your maximum, touch the arrow to open the adjust window. Then press the “–“ button to reduce the maximum width for your project.
9. Attach Darning foot PD-H. This time when you sew you will also be moving the fabric, as this is a free motion stitch, and adjusting the stitch width with the knee lifter. Tip: Disconnect the foot control and use Start/Stop button to run the machine. Then you only have to concentrate on the width of the stitch. 10. Use this technique and sew around the inside lines of the ribbon. • The machine automatically reduced the pressure on the presser foot to make it easier to move around curves, if you desire you can also make further adjustments.
