Science Pushing Forward Physicists have created negative mass. This negative mass accelerates backwards instead of forwards, unlike any other physical object that we know of. This will be the first time the mass has been seen under lab conditions. They took rubidium and cooled it almost the point of absolute zero. The atoms move very slowly, this is called Bose-Einstein condensate. It will be used to help physicists understand space and the way it works.
