Physical Standing or walking most of the time. Activity Desired 4-6 hour shifts, All day, or Multiple days Duration Line up (queue) teams for each match from the queue tables to the game field in order to help keep matches on schedule. Ensure robots are in order Responsibility according to the Match List report and aligned with the correct game field and alliance color. Report To Sign in at Volunteer Check-in; then report to the Division Manager. Report to your assigned Division area 30 minutes before practice and Location/ qualification matches begin. Queue Crew is located at the queueing tables Position near the game fields. Training Review this Guide document and get familiar with how matches are run. It Before Event is helpful to attend a local event prior to VEX Worlds if you are able. Review this Guide document and practice queuing teams during practice Training at matches. A short on-site review will be provided by the Division Manager as Event needed. Wear volunteer t-shirt if provided; otherwise, polo-style shirts with nice Dress Code jeans or long pants are preferred. Wear comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes. Supplies Clipboard, pen or pencil, highlighter, Match List report. Be ready to queue teams as soon as the Match List is distributed (see example Match Lists on page 2 of this document). As each match is completed and scored, the referee will signal for the field to be reset and Queue Crew the next teams to advance to the field. For the current match, robots should Process be on the correct field (all) and alliance color (VRC). For the next match, “on-deck” robots should be on the queue table (by alliance color for VRC). It is the responsibility of each team to be on time for matches. Alliance partners should be meeting prior to queuing for their next scheduled match. Number of students permitted on the field, and thus in the queue: o VIQC – two students in each alliance o VRC – three students in each alliance o VEX U – three students in each alliance Coaches, Parents and Adults must stay in the designated seating area and are not permitted on the field (exceptions made for special needs and interpreters).
