Step 1 — Replace Battery
What you will need.
Key Fob from a 2007 erra VW 2032 coin cell Battery Small flat head screwdriver
Step 2 — Remove Emergency Key
Press button to remove plastic emergency key.

Step 3 — Remove chrome top section.
Push it sideways from the opposite side from the button.
Step 4 — Pry case open.

With chrome end cap off this should be pretty easy.

Step 5 — Remove old battery
Use small screwdriver to lift out the old battery.
Battery should slide in easily.
Step 6 — Pop in New Battery

Step 7 — Test Fob
Paying the unlock button should flash an LED
Step 8 — Reassemble The Fob
Put everything back together in the reverse order of taking it apart.
