Warrior ELITE Wrestling The Warrior ELITE is a performance training program designed for the athlete looking to achieve their full potential. My name is Ryan Akers and I am the owner and Head Strength Coach at E.F.N. Elite Fitness and Nutrition was started with a focus on helping highly motivated young athletes to achieve their performance goals. Teaching athletes to work efficiently and effectively is the basis behind my training methods. There are many factors that separate E.F.N. training from an average workout. Due to the extreme physical intensity in these sports wrestlers and other combat sports require a performance program to match. There are several keys to success on the mat that must be developed. Having good coordination and proprioception, mental and physical toughness, as well as strength and power are the three most important areas. The athlete is challenged in all of these areas during every session. The training protocol will teach the body to work as a single unit helping to improve all of these areas and teach them to push themselves to new limits. So, how does this transfer to better performance on the mat? E.S.C. training equals a more dominate and effective shot or strike, quicker more explosive sprawl and counters, better control on top and defense on bottom. The Athlete who is able to maintain the highest strength and power output throughout the course of the match gains a great advantage. This is what we do at E.F.N.

Training Sept. 18th – Nov. 10th Weight Room: Monday, Tuesday and Thursday’s 4:00-5:00pm (1st 6 weeks) Monday and Thursday’s 4:00-5:00pm (Last 2 weeks) Strength and Athletic Performance Coach: Scott Akers, USAW Sport Performance Coach, Texas High School State Champion and IBJJF Novice World Champion.
