Week of November 13-17, 2017 Announcements and Birthdays
Monday, November 13th, is the last day to turn in Thanksgiving Lunch invitations and money. The cost of lunch is $5.50 for each person. Each student is limited to 2 guests. Thanksgiving Lunch will be held on Thursday, November 16th. 8th grade students eat lunch at 11:45; 7th grade students eat lunch at 12:59. All students are responsible for paying a $10 school fee and $5 science fee. Students who have not paid their fees can pay in the office during lunch. The girls’ and boys’ basketball teams will travel to Homer Jr. High on Monday, November 13th. Game starts at 5:00 and admission is $5. Come out and support the basketball teams! On Tuesday, November 14, 2017, the girls’ and boys’ basketball teams will host Haynesville Junior High. Game starts at 5 pm and admission to the game is $5. On Wednesday, we will have Jeans for St. Jude’s. Students can wear Spirit Shirts with jeans for $2 or Spirit Shirt with uniform bottoms for $1. All proceeds with be donated to Minden’s Annual St. Jude Auction. Wolf Pack Study Club will be held on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday of this week from 3:30—5:00. Students can stay after school to work on Think Through Math, get math homework help, read AR books and take AR tests. The WJH administration and staff invites all parents to Parenting Partners workshop on Thursday, November 16, 2017, from 10:30—11:30. The Webster Junior High Book Fair will continue this week in the library. Parents are invited to shop the Book Fair on Thursday with their student. Progress Reports will be sent home on Tuesday, November 14th. The deadline to take the AR test for the book, Wonder, has been extended to Tuesday, November 15th. Congratulations to the members of the Webster Junior High Beta Club! They won 1st place in the TShirt Design contest, 2nd place in the Graphic Design Contest and Quiz Bowl, and 3rd place in the Tower of Power and Living Literature Contest.
