How to Access Included in your Course Materials

Our proprietary Strategy Guides form the core of our course curriculum. Each Guide addresses a major content area or specific question type tested on the GRE. These Guides provide students with rules, strategies, and in-depth examples of how fundamental concepts are tested on the exam. Practice problems throughout each Strategy Guide allow students to test their understanding and measure their progress along the way. 2. Official Guide to the GRE Revised General Test

Included in your Course Materials

Published by ETS, the administrators of the GRE, this book includes real verbal and quantitative GRE questions from retired official exams. Sample essay topics are also included. Students will be assigned problems from these books at certain points throughout the course. 3. 5lb Book of GRE Practice Problems

Included in your Course Materials

Our strategy guide supplement, the 5 lb. Book of GRE Practice Problems provides over 1,800 practice questions spanning a wide range of difficulty levels. Some of these problems will be assigned as practice during the course, while some will be reserved for your postcourse studies. 4. MPrep GRE Course Handout Booklet

This booklet contains handouts such as vocabulary lists, quizzes, and content reviews. These handouts will be used during class. Please have this booklet with you for all class sessions. 5. MANHATTAN PREP COURSE POLICIES Refunds/Cancellations All payments made to Manhattan Prep are nonrefundable. Because of the proprietary nature of our materials, our limited class size, the scheduling/booking costs of our teachers, and our own administrative costs, we are not able to provide refunds to students for any reason. This applies both to deposits and any other tuition payments. Remember that complete tuition payments are due upon the first day of class. If you have an open balance after the first class session, your credit card will be automatically charged the remaining amount on the following business day, and this charge is also nonrefundable. Switching into a Different Course If you are enrolled in a course that has not yet begun and has not sold out, you may switch into another course with no penalty by contacting Student Services at least 48 hours prior to the start of the class you are currently enrolled in. If your course has already begun or has sold out, you can switch into another upcoming course for a $300 fee. If you choose to switch from a Live Online course into an in-person course, additional fees will apply. Unfortunately, because of the strict class sizes we enforce, we cannot make any exceptions to this rule. We do, however, provide make-up options detailed below. Making Up Class Sessions In-person course students may attend up to three make-up classes by sitting in on another in-person course in their area. To make up a class, you must reserve a sit-in spot in advance; you can do so online through the Student Center (click on ‘Class Schedule’ under the Reservations tab). Students are allowed to schedule these make-ups throughout their course or up to three months after their course ends. Live Online course students will have access to recordings of each of their nine class sessions with their assigned Instructors. These recordings are accessible through Elluminate/Blackboard, our e-learning platform. Each recording becomes available for review approximately 24 hours after that week’s session ends. Both in-person and Live Online students also have access to a complete set of pre-recorded class sessions in their Student Center. If you find you cannot make up the course work through the above options, you may retake a full course at a discounted rate. Retaking a Course • If you have taken an in-person 9-session course, you are eligible to retake another in-person or Live Online course for a discounted fee of $399. • If you have taken a Live Online 9-session course, you are eligible to retake another Live Online course for a discounted fee of $399. If you choose to retake an in-person course, additional fees will apply. To enroll, call Student Services at 646-254-6479. Score Guarantees Manhattan Prep does not offer score guarantees. One of the principles guiding Manhattan Prep is the belief that, while we provide you with the structure for success, including a rigorous curriculum and outstanding teachers, most of the work must come from you. We are confident that if you apply yourself by completing all the assigned homework, coming prepared to every class, and taking advantage of the additional resources we provide, you will meet your GRE score goals. That said, we do want to be sure that you are completely satisfied with all aspects of your course. If any part of your experience with Manhattan Prep falls short of your expectations, please contact us immediately at 646-254-6479.

Course Syllabus

GRE Course Syllabus Key: ESSENTIAL. For upcoming session. IMPORTANT. You should do these assignments before taking the GRE, ideally during the week listed on the syllabus. But if you don’t have time for everything, these assignments could be completed later. OPTIONAL. Great to do if you have the time. Reference Material: A list of math conventions (math vocabulary and GRE “ground rules”) is located in the Official Guide, pp. 133– 142. This may be especially helpful for those who learned math in another language or who are less familiar with American standardized tests.
