“Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people.” -- Luke 2:10

Where Are You, God? Sometimes it’s easy for me to find you - I see you in the smile of my friend who’s waiting to see me at school. I feel you in the warmth of the sun on a cold fall day. I hear you in the laughter of my family at a birthday celebration. Sometimes it is hard for me to find you - when I feel lonely, when I feel afraid, when I can’t make sense of things. God, help me to look for you. Help me find you in the small things and the big things, in the celebrations and especially in the valleys. Help me to experience GOD SIGHTINGS.

Take Home Challenge: Place several post-it notepads and pens around your home – maybe on the kitchen counter, in the living room, in your bedrooms…. Ask each member of your family to jot down where they SEE/ EXPERIENCE God daily for one week. Designate a central place where these “God Sightings” can be displayed. Maybe the refrigerator door, or on the front door… Take time each day to read these out loud together – maybe at supper or at bedtime. Notice how each of us experience God in different ways – how we can encourage each other to look for God – and how we can ask God to show himself to us.
