We live in an era of sweeping changes, tectonic shi s under our feet. That’s affec ng the life and work of churches along with so many other ins tu ons and organiza ons in our country and, indeed, around the world. Bishop Douglas will briefly outline some of the major shi s that affect our life and ministry as the Church of Jesus Christ—then leave the majority of the me for ques ons and conversa on. Don’t miss this opportunity to talk with a leader who is in mately in‐ volved in leadership issues for the church not only in Connec cut and the U.S., but around the world.

Join us for Choral Evensong to celebrate the last Sunday a er the Epiphany: The Feast of the Transfigura on. The service, sung by the Saint Luke's Parish Choir, the Senior Girls, and the Primary and Junior Choirs, will feature music of Stanford, Phillips, Radcliffe, Lindley, and Mendelssohn. Joseph O'Berry, former Organ Scholar at Truro Cathedral, will be our guest Organist. Wherever two or more are gathered in His name. 2017 Men's Retreat: March 31-April 2
This year's retreat leader will be Danny Lennox and we welcome all interested men to join for a "weekend of building community and expanding your faith for the men of SLP." Our retreat takes place at: Holy Cross Monastery in West Park, New York Icon Workshop
Interested in drawing your own icon? Last spring, iconographer Maureen McCormick spoke at Pathways about the rich history and spirituality involved in the process of making an icon. She offers a one week intensive course in which one completes an icon over six days (36 hours of instruc on). Course fee is $575, including materials. Who the workshop is suitable for: it is not necessary for a student to have any previously ar s c training or Experience; more importantly, the students are on the contempla ve spectrum and able to sit s ll and quietly. The work itself is fussy and painstaking, so students with hobbies such as kni ng, wood working, piano, etc. would be well suited. We are working on finalizing a week in May.
