We are living in divisive mes where people find themselves unsure of who to trust. Now more than ever, communi es need to come together to try to build bridges that overcome fear. Muslims have come to be seen as dangerous and threatening. This has affected how Non‐Muslim Americans view their fellow Muslim Americans. This panel will a empt to dispel or subvert stereotypical no ons of what and who your Muslim American neighbor is. It will give the community an opportunity to have a conversa on with their Muslim neighbors who are pillars of their immediate communi es. The panelists are Dolores Durrani, co‐founder Saffron Road Foods, Westport; Azra Assaduddin, community ac vist, member, Interfaith Council of Norwalk; Zeeshaan Fatema Aratsu, history teacher, New Canaan High School; and Ameena Meer, author, brand manager, Sufi, Brooklyn, NY. The panel will be moderated by Darien author and professor Sharbari Zohra Ahmed.
