wine box wine charms Upcycle your wine box with this charming project!
MATERIALS • The Naked Grape empty wine box • Dime
TOOLS • Scissors or craft knife • Pencil • Cutting mat (optional) • Permanent marker (optional)
START! STEP 1 Open up your box and lay it on a flat surface. Draw simple shapes that are approximately 1 1/2 ”in diameter. Repeat for as many wine charms as you’d like.
STEP 2 Cut out your shapes with your scissors. Simple shapes are easiest to cut.
DESIGN TIP! A craft knife will give you a much cleaner and smoother edge.
STEP 3 Place the dime slightly off-center on top of your cut shape. Trace around the dime. Then draw a line to the closest edge of the charm. This will be the part that fits around the stem of the wine glass. The stem will enter through the slot.
STEP 4 Cut along the line and around the traced circle.
STEP 5 Optional: Use permanent markers to personalize the charms with the names of your guests. Slide the finished wine tag onto your glass and charm your guests with this easy upcycled project.
