Come learn how the program works and how easy it is to edit the designs you have and start creating your own embroidery designs. Serger Cover Hem Class $30 All Day Plus Supplies This class will explore the cover hem stitches and chain stitch programs of the 5-thread sergers. We will spend the morning going over how to set up the machine for each stitch, tensions, uses, etc. In the afternoon we will make a project using these stitches. Tues. Apr. 26 – 9:30am to 4:00pm

Come take a beginning class and make a table runner from start to finish. If you do not have a working sewing machine, we can rent you one for the day. Sat. Jan. 9 --- 9am – 4:00pm Sat. Feb. 6 --- 9am – 4:00pm Sat. Mar. 5 --- 9am – 4:00pm Sat. Apr. 2 --- 9am – 4:00pm Free Motion Quilting Full Day Class $30 This class will be all about the quilting. It doesn’t matter if you have a long-arm machine or household sewing machine, this class will help us get that quilting done. We will practice on our sewing machines, as we can’t bring in our long-arms. Your machine must be able to do free motion quilting. We are going to be using muslin and batting. Bring your scraps, or purchase some at the store. (I suggest muslin, but bring other fabric scraps if you wish) We are going to work on several different patterns. Sunday, Feb. 7 --- 1pm – 5pm Saturday, Feb. 27 --- 9am – 5pm Twister Wreath All Day $30 Plus Supplies 24- ½” x 25- ½” Twister Harvest Wreath Quilt with a “Pinwheel Twist.” The Twister Harvest Quilt uses 3” finished squares and the Primitive Gatherings Primitive Pinwheels tool to “twist pinwheels.” The wreath features a mix of your choice of fabrics. The background is a mix of two coordinating rich textures.

There is a variety of shapes and sizes we can make, but we will start with a simple cube shape that you should be able finish during class. Confident beginners to advanced skill levels.
Saturday, Feb. 20 --- 9am – 3:30pm Conquering the Feathered Star Block All Day $30 Plus Supplies The Feathered Star block has the reputation of being one of the hardest (but most spectacular) blocks to piece. Patricia will show you how to simplify its construction while retaining precision piecing techniques. You should be able to finish one 23” block during class. This class is for those with intermediate to advanced sewing skills.

Class Policy Have you always wanted to take a class, but didn’t want to bring your machine? We have several machines available for you to rent in our classroom. Please make arrangements in advance. Pre-registration is a must. A deposit of ½ the class fee is required when you register. Make checks payable to Silver Thimble Sewing Center. If there is any other classes you would like offered or for more information, please contact us at 308-284-6838. 1. Pre-registration is a must for all classes. 2. You are not considered enrolled until you have paid the class fee. 3. We encourage you to purchase your supplies for classes at Silver Thimble Sewing Center as you receive a 10% discount for class supplies. 4. If you must cancel a class, you will receive a refund only if you cancel three days before the class is scheduled to meet. 5.
