Wood End Academy Mathletics Challenge
The Challenge is on! Can all the children of WEA achieve a Mathletics certificate during the course of a week! Children are awarded a certificate if they achieve 1000 points or more in a week from Monday to Sunday. (21 to 27 November & 28 November to 4 December) A correct answer on a “Test” scores the most: 20 points A correct answer on an Activity scores: 10 points A correct answer on Live Mathletics scores: 1 point
The class with the most points over the two weeks will be entered into a prize draw and two parents from that class will stand a chance of winning “Help your kids with maths: A unique step-by-step visual guide” by Carol Vorderman.

Parents! Please assist your child by allowing them time online to participate in the challenge. Mathletics is also running a Challenge at this time which could win prizes for the school for highest average point scored by a school. So… when you get to 1000 points and you have your certificate DON’T stop, keep on going! How many points can you get? 5000 points or more gets a Headteacher’s Award from Mr Stainbank.
Can you do it? Are you up for the two week challenge? Parents, encourage your children! Challenge your friends! Can you do better than the other classes in your year group? Could the Year 3, 4 and 5 classes do better than the Year 6’s?
