Woodland Quilt
Friday, April 19th 10:30-2:30 or 5:00-9:00 Taught by: Diane Marvin Cost: $20.00 + rulers + pattern (Batik fabric kits available) Don’t be afraid of circles. Diane will teach you a method that will have you quickly going around in circles. This quilt is made from Batiks and has prints that are very guy friendly and colors that appeal to women as well. Please note that this quilt will have 2 borders before it is finished. For the beginner and beyond.

Wednesday, April 17th 1:00-4:00 or 5:00-8:00 and Thursday, April 25th 12:00-4:00 or 5:00-9:00 Taught by: Donna Hanley Cost: $30.00 + pattern + tool Combine squares in shades of your favorite colors with the Lil’ Twister or Twister Tool by CS Designs to easily create these stunning quilts. This pattern can be made as a Throw, Baby/Wallhanging, or Queen. The Throw and the Wallhanging use the Lil’ Twister Tool (5’ squares) and the Queen uses the Twister Tool (10” Squares). For the beginner and beyond.
Design your own class
Do you get together with friends to quilt? Are you a member of a quild or group and several of the members would like to learn a particular pattern? Is there a technique that you and your friends would like to learn? Sew Nice may be able to help. Contact us with your requests and we will try to arrange a “private” class for your group. So put your thinking caps on and talk this over with your friends to plan a fun quilting day with your BFF’s.
Begin Quilting
Tuesdays, April 9th, 16th, 23rd and 30th 5:00-9:00 Taught by: Diane Marvin Cost: $40.00 + pattern + supplies Now is the time for you to learn how to quilt. This Lucky Stars pattern will be your first quilt. Learn how to quilt and start having more fun than you can imagine. This quilt can be made any size from crib to king (although we suggest starting with the throw size) by using fat quarters. The color combinations are endless and we will be glad to help you select your fabrics.

Saturday, April 27th 10:30-2:30 Taught by: Donna Hanley Cost: $20.00 + pattern Are you looking for a fun quick project? Then this class is for you! Make this cute May Flower Basket and maybe Spring will follow. This piece is only a 12” square and will fit in the metal frames that were used in the Monthly banners that we made last year. If you don’t have a 12” frame they will be available for purchase from Sew Nice or you can hang this using a tradtional rod. For the beginner and beyond.
Soldier Quilts Update We can’t thank everyone enough for all the work to create quilts for our soldiers in Afghanistan. So far we have sent 14 quilts at Christmas time and another 15 quilts in the last several months for a total of 29 quilts!!!!!!!! Many quilters have commented that they haven’t had the time to help but would like to help in some way. We still have batting and fabric to be paid for so if you would like to donate a few dollars for the cause we would greatly appreciate the donation. We are taking a slight break from making quilts although we encourage people to keep making blocks. The troop that we have adopted hopefully will be coming home in May. These young people will be replaced with another troop. Karen Kamsoke’s nephew will be working with the incoming commanders so that we will have a new contact person to receive and distribute our quilts.
