World Forum Community in Action! High spirited interactions and powerful learning opportunities engaged 630 early childhood administrators, trainers, caregivers, public officials, and advocates from 76 countries during 2009 World Forum in Belfast. Ideas were exchanged about impacting the quality of services for young children in diverse settings around the world. Ten years of building the work of the World Forum were celebrated, and the future of this work was set in motion.

The World Forum has developed initiatives around topics of importance to delegates. These Working Groups focus on advocacy, men in ECE, peace building, HIV/ AIDS, multi-site organizations, nature, teacher education, technology — globally diverse groups grappling with societal issues impacting young children.
