MATCH FACTS  Romania won the tournament, winning all three of their matches  There was an average of 3.5 tries and 3.5 penalty goals per match  The winning team scored the most tries in all six of the matches  Three of the six matches had a points difference of 21 or more  The lineout continued to be the most fruitful source of tries, with almost 40 per cent coming from this source.  Only one of 21 tries were scored from turnovers  One try in five started from inside the scoring team’s own half – three of the four tries were scored by Argentina Jaguars  76 per cent of tries contained two or fewer phases and 77per cent contained three or fewer passes  Eleven tries were scored in the first half and 10 in the second  Backs scored 12 tries and forwards nine  The conversion success rates was just over 60 per cent  Ball in play was just over 29 minutes or 36 per cent  Overall, there was a pass every nine seconds, a ruck every 13 seconds and a kick every 44 seconds  Only one in 10 restarts was contestable  Lineouts were successfully retained on 73 per cent of occasions – 57 per cent were contested  Scrum possession was retained on 84 per cent of occasions  The ball came back into play from scrums on only 42 per cent of occasions as a result of the awarding of 52 penalties and free kicks in 91 scrums  Just over a third of all penalties were at the breakdown with a further third at the scrum  Two thirds of tries came from the set-piece possessions of scrum and lineout  The winning team had most possession in five of the six matches
