MATCH FACTS There was an average of 4.4 tries and 6.1 penalty goals per match The winning team scored the most tries in seven of the 12 matches. Six of the 12 matches had a points difference of five or less The lineout continued to be the most fruitful source of tries, with almost 40 per cent coming from this source. TEAM FACTS FIJI Fiji won the 2015 title after three victories and one draw
They scored more points and more tries than any other team
All three of Fiji’s wins were by margins of 10 points or fewer
Only one team conceded more points than Fiji and no team conceded more tries.

SAMOA Samoa were runners-up after losing to Fiji in the final

TONGA Tonga came third, after beating Japan in their final game
