Dear Parents, Year Group News Year 1 have been describing themselves and their friends. They have recorded the weather each day and monitored the temperature. Let’s hope the sun keeps shinning! Year 2 have been busy this week looking at the similarities and differences between the things that are important to them. The children have also been introduced to Mathletics, which is the online program for Maths just for Year 2! The password can be found in their homework diary. Year 1 and Year 2 clubs Clubs for Year 1 and Year 2 children will start next week. Year 1 clubs will begin on Tuesday 20th September from 3.15-3.55p.m. and Year 2 clubs on Wednesday 21st September from 3.15-3.55p.m. Please look out for the letter and permission slip in your child’s book bag this week. End of Day Collection Arrangements Form If you have not yet completed and returned your end of day collection form, please send in to school as soon as possible to enable us to collate the information. We will notify you when this new system is up and running. Celebration Certificate At school we always enjoy hearing about your child’s successes, such as writing a friend’s birthday card without help, learning to ride their bike, swimming without armbands or being a responsible and well-behaved Bridesmaid or Page boy! To help us celebrate the things that your child achieves at home we have our ‘Celebration Certificate’. These are available from your child’s teacher or to print from the school website www.kempshottinfants.com/achievements.asp Please complete the certificate with your child’s name and details of their success and send the certificate in to school in your child’s book bag. Your child’s achievement will be celebrated in class and then put on the Year Group display. We hope that you and your child enjoy sharing their successes with us and we look forward to receiving certificates soon.
