MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education Skills/Efforts
Working Conditions
High School Diploma required; college degree preferred Outstanding verbal and written communication skills. Ability to provide all types of assistance to student: physical, instructional, and ambulatory. Cooperative, able to work with supervising teachers and other staff members. Skill in interpersonal relations with pupils, parents, teachers, staff and the general Public. Experience working with children and special needs preferred. Ability to fulfill the dexterity and physical requirements of the work, and effectively attend to special needs of exceptional children. Ability and willingness to attend to basic hygiene needs of incontinent students. Classroom environment with limited exposure to outside conditions. Activities require movement/lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds.
