Age requirements The men's JWC épée competition is open for fencers born between 1.1.1994 and 31.12.1999. Older youth (U15) team competition is open for boys and girls (separate) born in 1999 and later. Younger youth (U13) team competition is open for boys and girls (mixed) born in 2001 and later. Entries to the World Cup competitions Quota in accordance with FIE’s decisions. Entries via the FIE web site. Participating fencers need a FIE license for the 2013 – 2014 season. Entries to Youth Team competitions Entries to be sent collectively by the clubs to the Finnish Fencing and Pentathlon Association. Email [email protected]. Entry deadline is 22.11.2013 Entry fee: The entry fee for JWC competition is 15 EUR and for the Youth Team event 40 EUR per team. Entry fee has to be paid in cash at the moment of registration. JWC formula The competition formula of the FIE Junior World Cup will be used, i.e., one round of pools, in which all fencers present take part, and an integral direct elimination of qualified fencers. U15 and U13 Youth Team Competition formula System of the team competition will be depended of the number of the teams. Equipment: The fencers must have equipment in accordance with FIE´s decisions (FIE blades, mask 1600N, fencing dress and plastron 800N). Fencers’ equipment shall be controlled and approved by the equipment control before the start of the competition. In the youth team competitions equipment will be checked by the referees on the pistes. U15/U13 fencers: mask 350N, jacket 350N, breeches 350N, FIE-plastron 800N OR jacket 800N and breeches 350N, plastron 350N. Doping control: Only applicable for the JWC competition. Quota of referees: JWC referees: The Federations must bring referees at least in accordance with the FIE regulations: 1 - 4 fencers = 0 referee, 5 - 9 fencers = 1 referee, 10 fencers or more = 2 referees. Penalty fee for missing referee is 1000 euros. Youth Team Competitions: each club must bring at least 1 referee. Penalty fee is 100 euros.
