Sixth grade is an exciting year as students experience a variety of learning activities in a more departmentalized setting. One of the highlights is the authoring of a poetry journal with the opportunity to be published in a national publication. Sixth and seventh graders participate in an outdoor education experience every other year.

Overview of the Books of the Bible, Sacraments, church history, teachings from the Book of Matthew
Language Arts
Applied grammar, 5-Step Writing Process, 6 Traits of Writing, expository, narrative, comparative, persuasive writing, poetry, research paper
Math
Further mastery of fractions and order of operations, geometry, statistics, proportional reasoning, three-dimensional measurement, integers, equations in algebra
Science
Students are always given some class time to begin homework. Homework is required to be completed independently and on time.

Solar system, rocks, minerals, volcanoes, earthquakes, matter, energy, electricity, magnetism, forces, motion
Social Studies
Geography, culture, and history of the Eastern Hemisphere
Band
