IT’S THE NEW SCHOOL COUNCIL At the end of the last school year each class voted for their new school councillors. The children all received their certificates in assembly last week and were all feeling very proud to have been elected! They will be helping to fundraise, helping friends across the school and meeting with teachers to find ways of making Prince Rock an even better place to go to school. Well done to them all. I T ’ S A WARDS
TIME AGAIN !
As you know we like to try and win awards at Prince Rock and this year is no exception. We recently received the fantastic news that Martin, our caretaker and Mr Kowalski have both been shortlisted for an award in the Plymouth City Council Star Awards 2014. Martin has been shortlisted for ‘Support Staff of the Year’ and Mr Kowalski for ‘Teacher of the Year’. We are so excited and pleased for them and wish them lots of luck. The ceremony is on Saturday 20th September and we will let you know the final results! Good Luck
LOCAL WALKS CONSENT FORM All children received a letter last week about local walks and visits. This means we are able to take the children out and about in our local area. If you haven't signed this and returned it to school, please do so asap.
W ATER B OTTLES All of the children are encouraged to have a water bottle in their classrooms to drink during the day but please remember only water in these bottles, not squash, flavoured water or fizzy drinks.

Please send dinner money in on a Monday (in a sealed, named envelope).
