2012 CLIFF EDGE RIESLING Winemaking note

Tasting note

The 2012 Cliff Edge Riesling is sourced from the Old Riesling block at Mount Langi Ghiran planted in 1975 on granite soils.

Colour Pale, bright straw with green edges.

The site’s cool climate, together with granite sands and minimal irrigation, delivers grapes with great intensity and stunning natural acidity. As a result, we are able to create Riesling that is vibrant and highly defined in its youth, yet also promises superb cellaring potential.

Palate Fresh and clear with tight acidity. Mineral notes balance out with terrific fruit precision and great purity, depth and length.

The Langi Geisenhiem clone consistently produces lifted floral aromas complimenting the lime and mineral acidity.

Terrific fruit precision and great purity, depth and length.

Aromas Complex bright citrus, lemon and apple blossom.

Cellar now to 10 years.
