Baked apple, apricot, citrus blossom, white roses, honeysuckle, cold cream, and gingerbread on the nose. Such a beautiful bouquet of flowers! While trying to write descriptors for the nose, I have to fight the urge to take a sip, but I fail. There is baked quince, and creamsicle notes, but such a light as air freshness about the wine. I was expecting it to be much more thick and sweet, but it is beautiful and elegant. Honeysuckle and gardenias, like walking through a spring garden. Just barely off dry, with nectarine, ripe peach, apricot and finishing with the acidity of passionfruit and a perceived mineral and cut grass note and a spoonful of lavender honey. So pretty! This would be amazing with powdered sugar, maybe beignets, lemon or poppy seed pound cake, or grilled peaches and mascarpone.
