97 points James Halliday, James Halliday Wine Companion 2016 Big version of a Langi red, complete with syrupy oak, though all its arms and legs suggest that it has a long way to run. There's power here, fruit driven and luscious, with concentrated plum, cloves, freshly-sawn cedar and black pepper flavours careering through the palate to gorgeous effect. The finish: it's a wave, a series, a long stretch of tannin with a rumble of fruit and spice flavours crashing through it. It's as well prepared for the future as you could ever hope a wine to be.

Full-bodied, rich, powerful and built like a brick house, it delivers great concentration on the palate with firm, grainy tannins and refreshing acidity, finishing with wonderful persistence.
