This Week Outlook • Still very mild. Upper level high pressure will be anchored over the continent helping to keep much warmer than normal temperatures in place. Much of the east will come in cooler than LY as the middle of December 2014 saw a very strong warming trend. • Mainly light rain . Several fronts will bring light rain to the Atlantic coast with some heavier rain across the north. Snow will fall from the Scottish Highlands over to Scandinavia. • Another challenging week for weather-driven sales of winter products. The LY comps are especially challenging in western Europe.

This Weekend Outlook • Staying quite warm. Temperatures will remain warmer than normal across the continent. Some areas will be cooler than last year which experienced a warm outburst. Low pressure will cause more rain across the north while a trailing front causes showers down to the Iberian Peninsula.

Next Week Outlook • Warm through Christmas. Abnormally warm weather will continue across the great majority of Europe. As last year’s warm up was very short-lived, Christmas week 2015 will be much warmer than the run-up to last Christmas. • Rain spreads south. Frontal systems will push further south allowing rain to expand into central areas of the continent.
