Call to Order: Jeff Nemacheck called the meeting to order at 7pm Roll Call a. Present: Nemacheck, Elmhirst, Ely, Garrow, Cornock, Belkowski, Cambensy, L’Huillier b. absent: Froberg Additions or Deletions to Agenda and Approval of Agenda: Cornock adds MAHA report. Motion to Approve by Ely, 2nd Garrow, motion passes Approval of Minutes: Motion to approve by Garrow, 2nd Elmhirst, motion passes Treasurer’s Report: Attached. Motion to approve by Belkowski, 2nd by Garrow, motion passes Public Comment (Limited to 3 minutes per speaker): Mark Gordon presented a donation to MJH from Lakeshore Photography. Division Directors’ Reports: a. Midget – Scott Smith – None b. Bantam – Kamps – None c. Pee Wee – Dirk - none d. Squirt – John Way – none e. 8U – Kevin Moyer – None f. 6U – Nate Aho – none g. Girls – Pat Francis – None h. Learn to Skate – Maggie Moore – getting ready for the EOY pizza party. Travel Team Report/Billing: Elmhirst – Teams are all caught up with payment through December. MJHC Director’s Report (Presented in writing): attached Review Action Items from Previous Meeting a. Nemacheck to tally attendance records and forward to Mac for election notifications. -done b. Mac to get Elmhirst a list of registered coaches - done c. Mac to email notice of elections - done d. Revisit voting process at a future meeting, after the season is complete – move to future meeting e. Mac to notify coaches of the change in coaching reimbursement policy - done Committee Reports a. Sponsorships – Belkowski, Nemacheck – waiting on 10 sponsor checks b. Fundraising –Froberg – none c. Equipment – Cornock, Beerman – nobody is allowed in the equipment room except jeff Cornock. d. Tournaments – Garrow – none e. Coaching – Ely, Elmhirst – nothing

f. Officials – Froberg – nothing g. Conduct Review – Ely, Froberg, Garrow none h. Facilities – Mac – City is has put solar panels for Lakeview Arena on the agenda to help with the future increase in energy costs from BLP. Old Business a. Review Parent Handbook – Really, really not progressing well. New Business a. MAHA report – Cathy Starrett reports that One Goal grants will be available in February. Rules moving for discussion include cutting required girls games from 20 to 10, reduce the max number of games for travel teams by 10-15%, Redefining a girls Tier 1 team, changing the girls state tournament signup process to be online and rename all divisions to birth years instead of Squirt, Mite, Pee Wee, etc. Review New Action Items a. Mac to get with Andrew McGiver on locked up skating aids b. Mac to prep for Districts, get tiebreaker rules to Garrow/Ely. Public Comment (Limited to 3 minutes per speaker): Amanda Beerman is interesting is having a Pizza/Pasta fundraiser and 3-4 annual fundraisers for all of MJH that members can count on each year. Amanda is looking to start up the fundraising committee back up and combining a pasty fundraiser for all travel teams next year. Adjourn: Motion by Ely, 2nd Nemacheck, motion passes In attendance: Jon Kamps, Kevin Moyer, Cathy Starrett, Maggie Moore, Eric Markentoni, Paula Sides, Amanda Beerman.
Election Notes: After the 2/3/2016 regular meeting, an election was held to fill 3 board positions left by Ely, Elmhirst and Garrow. Garrow was the only applicant and was voted to a new 3 year term on the board. Cathy Starret, as a voting member, made a motion, 2nd by Cornock, to nominate Kevin Moyer and Amanda Beerman to fill the remaining two openings. Motion passes.
