Lynnfield Little League Huckleberry Hill School Teacher’s Lounge December 16, 2015 Meeting Minutes #4 – 2016 Season
Meeting called to Order – 7:00PM
Purpose Miscellaneous topics per BOD Agenda sent December 14, 2015.
Attendance: Present Robert Higdon, Bob Tashjian, Tom Pascuccio, Rob Gizmunt, Tony Martinho, , Billy Giannasca, Jeff Mullin, Glen Grabau, James Delaney, Steve Drzewiczewski, Walter Radulski, Peter Groussis, Walter Radulski
District 16 Update – Robert Higdon 1. Summer District Tournaments start on or about June 24, 2015. 2. Rob picked up invoice for $150.00 for District 16 dues which will be paid. 3. Joe Bags is looking for Jimmy Fund Director from the various leagues. 4. Charter has been applied for and check sent for Charter Fees and Insurance.
Constitution and LOCAL Rules 1. Constitution has been signed and mailed into Bristol, CT by Rob Higdon, has yet to be posted to website. 2. 2016 Local Rules are posted to website
Open Director Positions 1. Farm league director 2. TBall Director 3. Volunteer participation at lower levels continues to be a major concern.
Miscellaneous Items 1. CORI FORMS – need update from Rob Gizmunt. Need to have in place prior to tryouts. 2. SAFETY PLAN – Drew Lucich not there. Template of last year’s plan was forwarded to Drew needs to be updated 3. COACHES – Separate Meeting will be held with coaches prior to season, Tony Martinho will address.
4. WINTER CLINICS – Jimmy Delaney coordinating with the Bettencourt’s for 4 week clinic in January details will need to be confirmed electronically 5. PARADE – Try to schedule parade for opening day (April 24, 2016)
Registration/Tryouts 1. To date 104 little league age children are registered, 7 Big Diamond, 11 Tee Ball, and 27 Manager/Coaches 2. Tryouts will be held in Topsfield on Sunday January 31, 2016 from 9:00AM to 1:00PM. Need to have as many people as possible show up for Tryouts on the 31st of January.
Field Update 1. Glen Meadow looks great, they are currently working on Newhall 2. Issue with Fencing around the dugouts 3. We agreed to meet at the fields to try and come up with a list of items that the league would fund as part of a field improvement. 4. Field improvement suggestions must be emailed to Arthur Bourque by 12/20/15. Matt Monkiewicz will verify that his has been sent although he believes it has.
Equipment Update 1. Rob said he has mostly everything back except 5 or 6 bags. 2. Rob asked for permission to place order for baseballs based on last year’s numbers – MOTION APPROVED
Communication and Fundraising 1. Brian Caulfield submitted 2016 Communication Plan Outline, which included a PLAYER SURVEY. It was agreed that we would distribute these surveys to the players prior to the start of the season and post results. We will bounce this around a little more as the season gets closer but board was in favor of the Survey 2. Brian also submitted a 2016 Fund Raising plan. 3. No Raffle will be pursued in 2016
