Teach fundamental softball skills, with emphasis on why we do things the way we do.



Train and develop athletes physically and mentally.



Help student-athletes develop and maintain a love for the game of softball and athletic competition.

HEAD SOFTBALL COACH Coach Hames is in her third season as the head softball coach at Dorman High School. She is a graduate of USC-Upstate where she was a member of the softball team. She also earned a masters degree from the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse where she was a DIII assistant softball coach.

JESSIE QUINN ASSISTANT SOFTBALL COACH Coach Quinn is in her sixth season as an assistant softball coach at DHS. She specializes in developing outfielders and working with hitters. Quinn is a graduate of Limestone College where she was a member of the softball team.

ERICKA HAMMETT ASSISTANT SOFTBALL COACH Coach Hammett is in her fifth season as an assistant softball coach at DHS. She specializes in developing infielders and working with hitters. Hammett is a graduate of the University of South Carolina.





Give encouragement and positive reinforcement whenever possible while challenging athletes to surpass their perceived potential. Develop well-rounded student athletes who possess characteristics essential to be successful in softball and in life. For example, committed, hardworking, honest, trustworthy, etc.

REBECCA WEINEL ASSISTANT SOFTBALL COACH Coach Weinel is in her second season as an assistant softball coach at DHS. She specializes in developing catchers, infielders and working with hitters. Weinel is a graduate of Clemson University and also played softball for USC-Upstate.

DHS SOFTBALL PLAYERS Dorman High School softball players will assist in all of the camps.

WHAT TO EXPECT Camp participants will enhance their softball skills through in-depth and positive instruction from the DHS softball coaching staff.

REGISTRATION If registering on the day of the camp, registration will begin 30 minutes before the camp start time.

WHAT TO BRING Campers will need to bring a glove, bat, cleats, tennis shoes, weather-appropriate practice clothing, and a water bottle. Catchers will need full catcher’s gear.

I, Parent/Guardian, hereby authorize the directors of the DHS Softball Camps to act for me according to their best judgment in any emergency requiring medical attention. I know of no medical or physical problems which affect my child’s ability to safely participate in this camp. I understand that I will be fully responsible for any injury that may occur at this camp.

FACILITY Both camps will take place at the Dorman High School softball field. *In the event of inclement weather, camps will be moved to a District 6 gymnasium. We will have a bus on stand-by in case we need to move during camp hours. All campers will be bused by a certified DHS employee.
