Call to Order: Jeff Nemacheck called the meeting to order at 7pm Roll Call a. Present: Nemacheck, Belkowski, Beerman, Moyer, Cambensy, L’Huillier b. absent: Garrow, Froberg Additions or Deletions to Agenda and Approval of Agenda: Adding Pee Wee State Playoffs and Tshirt/Yearbook bids. Motion to approve by Cambensy, 2nd Beerman, Motion passes. Approval of Minutes: Motion to approve by Beerman, 2nd Nemacheck, motion passes. Treasurer’s Report: Attached – Motion to accept by Jeff, 2nd by Beerman, motion passes. Public Comment (Limited to 3 minutes per speaker): a. Deb DeMattia –The State Playoff Tournament committee is looking for $4000 to cover the expenses of the opening ceremony, light show, welcome gear and sound equipment that is needed on the Olson arena to announce the games as required by MAHA. The committee is looking at fundraising ideas to offset the cost. Motion by Moyer, 2nd L’Huillier to approve $4000 for State Playoff tournament, motion passes. b. Cathy Starrett – all new board members need Safesport training and Background checks. Division Directors’ Reports: a. 18U – Andy Elmhirst – none b. 14U – George Belkowski –Eagle Mine going to districts. c. 12U – Jeff Nemacheck – none d. 10U – Bill Sheltrow – warning given for bullying, division director not notified about fair ice-time ruling, Parents want CUPL fair ice, parents complaining about having to work at concessions. e. 8U –Kevin Moyer – Xerox won the Munising tournament, no money needed for BB tournament. f. 6U –Adam Carpenter – none g. Girls – Pat Francis – Buddy day skate went really well last week. Travel Team Report/Billing: none MJHC Schedulers Report (Presented in writing): attached Review Action Items from Previous Meeting a. Mac to book ice time for goalie clinic- done b. Mac to post election notice by 1/15 -done c. Nemacheck to get Mac election info by 1/11- done Committee Reports a. Sponsorships – Belkowski – 2 checks remaining, Haley will contact them.

b. Fundraising –A. Beerman – Concessions going well, waiting on check from DTDJ’s for New Years, looking at one more year end fundraiser. c. Equipment – Cambensy, Haley – getting 12U jerseys replaced that need it. d. Tournaments – Garrow, Moyer – none e. Coaching – L’Huillier, Nemacheck – none f. Officials – Froberg – none g. Conduct Review – L’Huillier, Garrow, Froberg – Locker room phone issue address by committee. h. Facilities – Mac – Parks and Rec looking for members for action plan for next years master plan. Old Business New Business a. Review election results- 3 positions open by Cornock, Nemacheck and Froberg. Nobody attended the election. Nemacheck will run again, Belkowski appointed Deb Demattia to fulfill Cornocks remaining term and fill one open position for a 3 year term. Belkowski will contact Froberg about his open position. Jeff Trudeau may be interested and will discuss the responsibilities with Belkowski. Motion by Belkowski to appoint Deb Demattia for the remaining term of Jeff Cornock and a 3yr term starting in June, 2nd by Beerman, motion passes. b. Review new policy manual change proposals- read new policies to be approved at next meeting (attached). c. Review MJH calendar- done d. State Playoff Committee- approved above. e. T-Shirts and Yearbooks- Motion by Moyer to accept bid B for T-Shirts, Bid C for yearbooks, 2nd Cambensy, motion passes. Review New Action Items a. Mac to send out info on year end playoffs b. Mac to email dates of Parks and rec meeting c. Post locker room policy on every locker room door d.
