2017 Switzerland Study Tour This September, Switzerland Tourism, together with Swiss International Air Lines and Rail Europe, is sponsoring a Virtuoso-exclusive Study Tour to Lausanne, Lake Geneva, Gstaad, Interlaken and Bern. This itinerary features adventure (hiking and e-biking), local gastronomy and sweeping views all through Switzerland. This study tour is open to Virtuoso advisors from the USA/Canada only. • To apply for this study tour, please click HERE, or log into Virtuoso.com, select the Virtuoso Travel Academy from the "Advisor Tools" drop-down and click on the "Study Tours" page. • To view the preliminary itinerary, please click HERE or visit the Virtuoso Travel Academy (see above) Additional Information: • Dates: August 30th - September 6th, 2017 • Total cost of trip for Virtuoso Advisors is $1000.00, plus domestic airfare to/from New York (JFK), and includes roundtrip international airfare on SWISS International Air Lines between New York (JFK) and Zurich (the flight ZRH-JFK is offered in business class), hotel accommodations in single rooms with exclusively Virtuoso 5-star properties, most meals, excursions, ground transportation, transfers, and gratuities for meals. • Price does not include domestic airfare to and from New York (JFK), costs associated with any airline delays, or government taxes and fees, which will be at each advisor's expense. • Price does not include incidentals such as gratuities for room service, phone/fax/internet charges, laundry, or beverages and meals not specified in the final itinerary. • This trip is nonrefundable once paid. Payment information will be collected from all approved advisors, once participation is confirmed. • Accommodations are single occupancy for Virtuoso Advisors ONLY; no guests. This study tour is open to Virtuoso advisors from the USA/Canada only. • Please note, this will be an active trip focused on adventure travel. This includes a hike in the Swiss Alps over rough terrain and/or riding a bicycle or e-bike. To ensure you meet the physical conditions necessary for participating in this trip, please review the itinerary carefully before applying. All applicants must be willing and able to participate in all activities, which will include extensive walking, and biking/e-biking. Participants must be used to riding a bike on public side streets and dedicated bike routes in hilly areas. Applicants should not have any pre-existing medical conditions that could preclude them from participating in all activities. • All confirmed participants must complete the following training requirements: o 2017 Switzerland LEAP Series components, available HERE. o Become a certified Switzerland Advisor. The deadline to apply is Thursday, June 15th. Applicants will be advised of their status by Friday, June 23rd. This is not a first come, first served opportunity. We seek to select those advisors who best fit each educational trip. Thus, approval is based on specific eligibility factors; Attendees must sell FIT, be selling Europe and/or Switzerland, sell adventure/soft adventure travel is preferred, not be solely cruise and must be fit according to the indications listed above.
