Why red of course!! Well actually no – if you carefully peel the skin from a red tomato you will find it is yellow. It is the red pigment from the flesh below which gives the tomato its characteristic colour. There are lots of different shapes and sizes in tomatoes, plum shaped and anything from grape sized to fruit the size of a melon!!!
