Scatter your Cress seeds across the surface, roughly around 0.51cm apart, saving any surplus seed for another sowing. Cover the tray with paper and keep on a warm windowsill, keeping the compost moist. Remove paper when the tiny seedlings appear. ‘Hey presto’ hair! Give your Headstart character a haircut with scissors when 5cm (2") high. Use your cress in sandwiches and salads. Growing Cress teaches a child about seed germination and the conditions needed for plant growth.
