Join us for an exciting morning of 4-H workshops!
9:00 to 9:30 a.m.—Registration 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.—Session 1 10:45 to 11:45 a.m.—Session 2 11:45 to 12 noon—Wrap-Up/Evaluation
Be sure to read each workshop description carefully so you will know the cost of each and what supplies to bring along.

A. Cookie in a Jar
– Instructor: Jessie Nickerson, Cost: $4.00 Make a cookie in a jar to give as a gift or take home and bake! You will also make a Christmas decoration to go with the cookies! What to bring: All materials provided by instructor.
B. Cloverbud Christmas Gifts!
- Instructor: Holly Harwood, Cost: $6.00 You will create 3 Christmas gifts to share or keep! Great for giving to teachers, moms, grandmothers, etc… 1. Christmas light thumbprint canvas 2. We Wisk You a Merry Kissmass! 3. Festive Cinnamon Stick Candle Required skills: Holiday Spirit! What to bring: An adult with helping hands; all other materials will be provided. OFFERED SESSION 2 ONLY
C. Pine Cone Ornament –
Instructors: Sally Woods & Debbie Fugle, Cost: $4.00 Make a pine cone ornament using cardstock, ribbons, and beads! What to bring: Hand towel, scissors.
D. Christmas Evergreen Centerpiece –
Instructors: Hans & Grace Kunze, Cost: $5.00 Create a small festive Christmas arrangement using evergreens (with a focus on Fraser fir) and accented with berries. Makes a great gift or holiday arrangement for your own home! What to bring: Garden shears for cutting evergreens. OFFERED SESSION 1 ONLY
E. Holiday DIY Decorations – Instructors:
Deb Nickerson & Colleen Raiber, Cost: $8.00 Make two holiday decorations: 1. A reindeer washcloth filled with bath goodies - a cute gift! 2. Tis the season for holiday decorating...this simple snowman will make anyone’s house look festive! What to bring: All materials provided by instructor.

F. Home Made Beauty Products –
Instructor: Karen Milligan, Cost: $5.00 Make a Body Scrub and Bath Salts for yourself or to give as a gift. We will be using ingredients found in an ordinary household, for the most part! Required skills: Very few; measuring, mixing, stirring, packaging What to bring: A tablespoon, a fork, a wisk, and a 1 quart or larger mixing bowl or plastic container.
G. Deco Mesh Candy Cane Wreath –
Instructor: Louise Herrick, Cost: $10.00 Make a wreath in the shape of a candy cane for your door made out of Deco Mesh for the holidays! (Deco mesh is a type of colorful, bendable ribbon made from a mesh-like fabric) What to bring: Scissors
H. Felt Flowers – Instructor:
Kathleen Parker, Cost: None Make decorative felt flowers by tracing and cutting out felt petals. You will hand sew petals one by one, then together. Your final step will be attach the beads with thread or glue! Required skills: Cutting, gluing, hand sewing (small amount of hand sewing involved so younger 4-H’ers may need adult help) What to bring: Scissors, sewing needle (if you have), and red thread.
I. Pin Wheel Wreath – Instructors:
Lisa Conklin, Jessica Olin, & Sara Norton, Cost: $1.00 Learn how to take a simple pin wheel and turn it into a festive holiday wreath. Required skills: Able to cut and measure accurately. What to bring: 12-14 inch embroidery hoop and 5 sheets of double sided scrapbook paper (Holiday themed).
J. Reclaimed Wood Christmas Tree –
Instructor: Tanya Nickerson, Cost: $10.00
Using reclaimed wood, you will make a Christmas tree decoration by learning different ways to treat/distress wood to give it a great vintage look! What to bring: Hammer!
K. Gingerbread Fudge & Edible Garland – Instructor:
Sarah Carlson, Cost: $10.00 A foodie extravaganza! Make your own gingerbread fudge in a gingerbread man cookie cutter, and create an edible garland for your holiday tree! Required skills: Holiday cheer! What to bring: Any additional decorations to personalize your edible garland!
L. Folded Window Stars –
Instructor: Amy Ludwig VanDerwater, Cost: $2.00 Learn to make beautiful geometric translucent stars for your windows this holiday season. With simple folds and careful gluing, these multicolored stars will make your home feel cheery and warm, inside and out. You might even choose to turn your kite paper stars into ornaments or card decorations! Required skills: Attention to detail, careful folding, direction following. What to bring: Sharp scissors.
