Want to know what makes Crossroads happen? Volunteers. Lots of them, doing everything from connecting with kids or brewing coffee to providing tech support. It’s all important, and it’s all done by average volunteers. And yes, we need you. Whether you want to make some connections or simply want to get involved in the great stuff happening around here, there’s a serving role just for you. It’s not a lifetime commitment; try it out and see how it fits. Who knows? You might even have a lot of fun.
TRY IT OUT. FILL OUT THE BACK, TEAR IT OFF AND DROP IT INTO THE OFFERING BAG. WE’LL CONTACT YOU TO GET THINGS STARTED. FOR THE LATEST INFORMATION ON THE MOST URGENT SERVING NEEDS, PLEASE VISIT CROSSROADS.NET/ENGAGE.

05-06
Crossroads is a place for people on every part of the spiritual journey, from those just investigating whether there is a God to those who have made following Christ the priority of their life. The Bible presents a dangerous message of life change. We don’t assume everyone believes, or even knows the Bible, but we do assume everyone who comes through our doors is open to exploring it. We believe the Bible is God’s inerrant truth and it’s the foundation to everything we do.

KNOW current message series Sometimes there’s a gap between what we say we believe and what we actually do. So for six weeks we’re digging into the book of James—to workshop with a master craftsman who teaches practical ways to turn head knowledge into hands-on reality.
today This weekend we’re talking about the power of our tongues.
time he ere? ? OR SECOND, OR THIRD, OR TENTH... free stuff We love to give things away—in fact, we don’t ever want to sell things around here. So go ahead, take a CD (or take a few, if you’d like). Grab a cup of coffee. Have a Bible. It’s all free, so please help yourself to anything. (Except maybe the furniture. Please don’t take the furniture.)

ROB
Rob Wassler serves in Adventure Club, hanging out with kids whose parents volunteer in Kids’ Club. Why did you choose to serve in Kids’ Club? I knew that Crossroads needed help in this area, and Adventure Club was a great fit for me, because I love to throw balls, play tag and jump around. What is your favorite thing about serving? Serving is a great way to help bring people into relationship with Jesus. When parents can drop off their kids at Kids’ Club during the service, those parents are given a tremendous opportunity to embrace the message presented in service without distraction, while their kids are in an environment specifically tailored for them. If you’d like to serve in Kids’ Club, either fill out the serving card in this program, visit crossroads.net/engage, or pick up an application at the Kids’ Club Info Desk.

Nothin’ When you ask your kids what they did in Kids’ Club today, do you get a blank stare? So start this conversation armed with the answer. If your kids are two or older, ask their room volunteer for a parent page. You’ll know that your two-year-old threw marshmallows at a fake Goliath, your four-year-old had a dance party to learn about worship, and that your sixth grader learned about forgiveness using dissolving paper. Take that parent page with you, and talk about it over lunch. We even give you some questions to ask that will get a better response than the typical “nothin’.” If you’ve got questions about Kids’ Club or you’d like to spend time hanging out with some great kids, contact Kim Botto at
[email protected].
