ABOUT The RNS Girls’ Hockey Program The girls’ hockey program at Rothesay Netherwood School is dedicated to the overall development and growth of our young student-athletes. Students who play hockey on the varsity girls’ team are able to receive an outstanding academic experience while playing hockey at a very competitive level. The combination of these two important factors, along with a structured, respectful environment that encourages one’s personal best in everything, promotes growth in all aspects of students' lives.

The girls’ program has a unique and competitive schedule which allows us to compete against both Midget AAA programs and Canadian and USA prep schools. The RNS varsity girls’ hockey team is a competitive member of the North American Prep Hockey Association (NAPHA) where they play a 16 game NAPHA schedule as well as compete in numerous high level tournaments. RNS female hockey is a two semester sport which allows our players to be on the ice six to seven times per week and takes place from September to March. With this diversified schedule our program has been able to promote hockey players on to higher levels of hockey including CIS and NCAA programs.
The Facilities Hockey teams at RNS are fortunate to have the Memorial Arena, an on-campus indoor ice rink. In addition, teams have access to strength conditioning coaching and power skating training. These resources are available both on and off campus and players receive off-ice training from fully certified professional trainers.
The University Placement Office at RNS works one on one with students as they make their post-secondary education decisions and complete the application and scholarship process. 99-100% of RNS graduates are accepted into leading universities in Canada, the US, and abroad, many with scholarship awards.
